Camper Spare Parts to Keep On-Hand

Your camper might be brand new, well-maintained, and spotless, but sooner or later, some part or system is going to need to be replaced. We here at Pete’s RV – VA want to help you be prepared for anything, so we’ve put together a few of the spare RV parts you should keep on-hand, below. To learn more, or to see the camper parts we have in stock, contact either of our stores in Chesapeake or Salem, Virginia!

Water System Parts

One of the best parts of traveling in a camper is running water, so it’s important to make sure your water system stays functional. To that end, you’re going to need some water pump parts, including:

  • Impeller parts
  • An overhaul kit

You should also bring some space thermocouples in case your water heater goes on the fritz!

Electrical Spare Parts

Naturally, electricity is another of the major draws to staying in a camper, so make sure to bring plenty of spares for those parts as well. First off, bring plenty of spare fuses. Camper electrical systems aren’t as sturdy as residential ones, so it’s easier to blow or trip a fuse on the road.

Second, bring spare light bulbs, both for normal lights and for any headlights, tail lights, and brake lights the camper has. You don’t want to be driving around in the middle of nowhere without maximum visibility.

We hope these tips help your next trip in your camper run smoothly! For more information, or to see the camper parts we have available, contact us at Pete’s RV – VA in Chesapeake and Salem, VA.
